first week of july and erica & i finally made it out to the lake for some good ole fashioned summer-like activities! and by activities, i mean not. we lounged in the sun with gusto. there was a super annoying yappy dog next to us, but he didn't even manage to spoil the greatness of the relaxing.
i expected many more such days to be had by this point in the summer (more on that later) but it's possible that it was all the more glorious by virtue of being the one and only...
despite all the 'me & nick' pictures, i still love this one so much! this is an example of the opposite of the above mentioned principle -- it's still just as glorious even though there are 8 billion other of it's kind.
that's a carousel in the background, in case you wondering. i sure do love carousels. anyone remember that old movie with the carousel? we watched it in agua azul one summer, about a mom and daughter and the dad comes back that they've never met or something like that... i don't remember the actors or the name of the movie, but it had a carousel and i loved it.
